Arson Possible In Vacant Hotel Fire In East Hollywood: LAFD
Investigators are probing the cause of a fire that ravaged a vacant hotel near Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue Monday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Arson investigators responded to what authorities called a "major emergency" fire that ravaged a vacant hotel in East Hollywood Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to 1418 N. New Hampshire Ave., one block away from Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, just before 6 a.m. Monday. The building, a former hotel, was heavily boarded up, which led to firefighters being delayed entering the building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Once crews were able to enter the building, they attacked the fire located in two corner units of the former hotel.

It took firefighters an hour to extinguish the fire, according to the LAFD.
Arson investigators were sent to the site, which is standard practice for a fire of this size, authorities said.
