Art Beyond the Glass VI coming to Los Globos

Thirty of L.A.’s top bartenders will be showcasing their artistry, from painting to photography, live music and, of course, crafting cocktails at Art Beyond the Glass VI.

The annual event will raise funds for The Moth, an acclaimed nonprofit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling, at Los Globos in Silver Lake Sunday, June 25th, 2017.

Non-profit The Moth brings storytelling programs and events to students and around the country, such as The Moth High School StorySLAMs, The Moth Podcast, which is downloaded more than 44 million times a year, a corporate program that provides industry specific storytelling solutions, and The Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour which airs weekly on 450+ public radio stations nationwide.

The annual cocktails and art celebration Art Beyond the Glass has raised over $98,000 for arts
based nonprofits in Los Angeles, Oklahoma City and Chicago since its inception, and promises events later this year—inaugural event in Las Vegas in the Fall and in Miami and San Diego in early 2018.

The event will feature over 40 sponsored liquors and 30 top L.A. bartenders. Just a few A - Z bartenders, also providing entertainment, include performers Anna Knudson (Rosaline), Florence Hartigan (Big Bar), Garrett Hanson (Big Bar), Raul Pool (Spread), and Robbie Gregg (LONO), along with DJ sets by Dave Fernie (Honeycut) and Steve Livigni (Chestnut Club), Matt Wise (Roger Room), Paul Sanguinetti (Lustau), Dave Kupchinsky (Freehand) and Serena Herrick (Little Joy, LONO).

Art Beyond the Glass was co-founded in 2012 by Courvoisier National Brand Ambassador Zahra Bates, and Daniel Djang, Founder of the cocktail and spirits blog Thirsty in LA and Content Manager at Discover Los Angeles.

The event is also being produced with the participation and support of the USBG Southern California Chapter.

Art Beyond the Glass VI is Sunday, June 25th, 2017 at Los Globos from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and is a 21 and over event. Presale tickets for the event are $60.00 per person and are now on sale exclusively at Eventbrite until 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 25th, 2017. Tickets at the door are $75.00 per person. Ticket includes cocktails, art, entertainment, and bar bites. Raffle tickets and a silent auction funds for art, photography, rare spirits and more will be available and are also to benefit The Moth.
