Attempted Sex-Toy Theft Ends In Stabbing In Hollywood: Police

A woman who allegedly tried to steal a toy from a Hollywood sex shop had to be hospitalized after a store employee stabbed her, police said.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman who tried to steal a toy from a Hollywood sex shop overnight was stabbed by a store employee, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

What began as an attempt to shoplift a sex toy turned into a robbery when the woman got into an altercation with the store employee, and that turned into an assault with a deadly weapon when the employee stabbed her, according to police. It’s a case where the suspect became a victim, and the victim became a suspect, explained Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee. Now both are facing felony charges.

Police were called to the scene at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday night, and officers found a robbery suspect suffering from a stab wound. CBSLA identified the store as Adam & Lilith at 6660 Hollywood Blvd.
