A collision has left two 13-year-old Azusa boys with serious injuries Tuesday night after a suspected drunk driver crashed into a parked car. The parked car hit the teens in a chain reaction.
California Highway Patrol Officer Rodrigo Jimenez said that the boys had been sitting on the curb when the accident happened.
The driver, who has been identified as Raymond Garcia, 27 of Covina, had been driving his 2005 Honda Accord eastbound at a high rate of speed when he crashed head-on into a parked vehicle on Renwick Road, east of Heathdale Avenue at 6:25 p.m.

According to Azusa Police Sgt. Andy Sutcliffe, the two boys were sitting on the curb behind the parked car and were struck by the vehicle. Both teens suffered major fractures and lacerations and were transported to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment.
Garcia suffered a broken nose at the crash and was arrested at the scene of the crash. He was also taken to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center to be treated.

CHP investigators believe that Garcia was intoxicated and also on drugs at the time of the accident. He is currently being held at the hospital jail ward on $100,000 bail.
Officials say that Garcia is scheduled for a Thursday arraignment at West Covina Superior Court.
