Bomb Squad Investigates Package At Hollywood And Highland
A bomb squad shut down a portion of Hollywood Boulevard to investigate a suspicious package at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad investigated a suspicious package reported at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue Tuesday afternoon, but the item turned out to be clothing and trash in a backpack, according to a report from the scene.
The bomb squad investigation closed a stretch of Highland between Hollywood Boulevard and Franklin Avenue.
The package was reported at 3:40 p.m. and the bomb squad was still on the scene as of 4:39 p.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera, an LAPD spokesperson.
