HOLLYWOOD, CA Two Cerritos burglary suspects in a dark-blue Ford Mustang convertible were taken into custody by sheriff's deputies in a South Los Angeles residential neighborhood, ending a wild chase that could only happen in LA. After evading police, doing donuts on Hollywood Boulevard, and squaring off with a TMZ tour bus, two suspects talked to residents and posed for selfies while waiting for authorities to arrive to arrest them.

Because this is Los Angeles, a TMZ tour bus attempted to end the police pursuit by cutting off the mustang convertible with the two burglary suspects on the Hollywood (101) Freeway.

Throughout the afternoon, the suspects put on a display for police, media and downtown crowds, by throwing burgers and peace signs and doing donuts on Hollywood Boulevard. Small crowds, watching the chase live on tv lined up in the rain to cheer on the passing fugitives. The men taunted trailing police officers.

At one point, the driver halted to apparently talk to an LAPD officer before continuing on, NBC reports.

The roughly 90-minute chase began about 3 p.m. when sheriff's deputies spotted the suspects who reportedly were involved in a burglary in Cerritos.
