Car Stacking in Irving

It’s one thing to gatecrash a party, but you shouldn’t do it this way! An Irving driver is accused of DUI after smashing his car through an apartment gate and wrecking several parked cars. ABC 7 has more of the story.

On October 29th at 2:30 AM is when the incident occurred according to police. At least four cars were damaged in the wreck at the Montecito Vista Apartment homes on El Camino Real.
The driver drove recklessly enough to put their car atop another one in the complex.

Thankfully, no one was injured but the driver was taken in for DUI. No other details were released by the police.

The police had good reasons to suspect DUI. Driving after midnight is the most likely time to find one and the wreck was especially egregious. It’s not easy to get your car on top of another one in a crash! High speeds usually have to be involved for that to happen, plus there had to be enough force to ram the gate open.

Alcohol causes us to lower our inhibitions and reduces our reaction times. Bad ideas sound like great fun. This is why it’s so dangerous to drive while drunk. If you are drinking, please get the assistance of a designated driver so you don’t end up in a similar situation.
