Chadwick Boseman Selected For Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Actor Chadwick Boseman, who died after a battle with cancer in 2020, is among those named eligible to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, organizers announced Monday.

The "Black Panther" star was named to the Walk of Fame Class of 2023 by a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce selection committee. Others chosen include Otis Redding, Michelle Yeoh, Eugene Levy, Gwen Stefani, Dr. Dre and Kerry Washington, according to the chamber.

"The committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can't wait to see each honoree's reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood's history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most famous walkway," committee chair and radio personality Ellen K said in a statement.

Those included in Monday's list will not automatically receive a star — they or their representatives have two years from the date of their selection to schedule a ceremony.
