Cyclist Killed By Hit & Run Driver In Hollywood
A 49-year-old woman was killed by a driver near Hollywood Boulevard.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A 49-year-old woman on a bicycle was struck and killed early Friday in Hollywood by a driver who fled the scene and was being sought by police.
The fatal collision occurred about 2:20 a.m. on Orange Drive north of Hollywood Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The bicyclist was northbound on Orange when she was hit by a silver four-door sedan traveling in the same direction, police said.

"The driver did not stop or render aid to the bicyclist as required by law," according to a police statement.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of her family, police said.

Anyone with information about the deadly collision was urged to call detectives at the LAPD's West Traffic Division at 213-473-0234. After hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 877-LAPD-24-7.
