Dog Rescued From Hollywood Rooftop After Plunging 2 Stories Down

Investigators worked to determine if a dog was thrown or fell two stories down onto a Hollywood rooftop.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Investigators worked to determine if a dog fell or was thrown from a four-story building in Hollywood Monday night. The animal landed upon the roof of a two-story building, where Los Angeles Firefighters rescued the trapped dog.

The incident happened just before 7 p.m. to the 1400 block of North Bronson Avenue, near Sunset Boulevard. Crews used a ladder to climb up and get the dog to carry it to safety, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Witnesses told ABC7 the pup appeared seriously injured.

Authorities did not know how the dog ended up on the roof. Initial reports indicated it may have been thrown. The dog was returned to its owner, who said he would take the animal to a veterinarian to be examined.
