DUI Checkpoints Scheduled Across Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Police Department has scheduled a series of DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols across the city this weekend.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Police Department plans to hold a series of DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols across the city beginning Friday night through Sunday.
The DUI enforcement efforts will take place in the Valley, the Westside and central Los Angeles. The locations are chosen based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests, according to the LAPD. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and checking drivers for proper licensing.
The department publicizes its checkpoints in an effort to stop drivers before they get behind the wheel inebriated.
