Earthquake Epicentered In Silver Lake Rattles Los Angeles

A small temblor rattled Los Angeles during the morning rush hour shortly after 7:30 a.m.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A magnitude 2.7 magnitude quake epicentered in the Silver Lake area struck Tuesday morning as Angelenos headed to work.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 7:38 a.m. The epicenter was about 2 miles east southeast of Echo Park and 2.5 miles west northwest of Hollywood, according to the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
