Emerson College Los Angeles Launches Two New Courses Aimed at Helping Students Navigate the Entertainment Industry

Emerson College Los Angeles (ELA) is now offering classes to the LA-based community. Previously, only a campus serving students from Boston, the new ELA building and all its resources is now available to Los Angeles residents, professionals, and lifelong learners.

The two courses—Social Media Marketing and Networking Strategies for the Entertainment Industry—aim to give individuals the tools needed to take their careers to the next level. The courses start in February with a registration deadline of February 8. Registration is available through the Emerson College LA website.

“We are excited to offer Los Angeles-area residents these continuing education opportunities in the arts and communication fields,” said Jon Clayden, Director of Post-Graduate and Professional Studies at Emerson Los Angeles. “I feel that our history and expertise in the industry make ELA a great choice for professionals seeking to learn new and relevant skills—an essential goal for those wishing to differentiate themselves from the competition in today’s crowded marketplace.”

Boston-based Emerson College has had a presence in Los Angeles for nearly 30 years and recently opened its new award-winning Los Angeles facility earlier this year. Located in the heart of Hollywood at 5960 Sunset Boulevard, Emerson Los Angeles features state-of-the-art equipment and classrooms that have earned industry praise.

Emerson Los Angeles has helped launch the careers of many entertainment industry leaders. More than 4,300 students have participated in the Emerson Los Angeles program and LA is home to more than 4,000 successful Emerson alumni. With these new courses, Emerson Los Angeles is now offering a powerful new resource for Angelenos looking to get ahead in their career, or start a new one.
