Fire Engulfs Hollywood Duplex

Flames were shooting through the roof of a duplex fire in Hollywood when firefighters arrived on scene.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A Hollywood duplex was engulfed in flames Friday morning before Los Angeles firefighters tackled the blaze.

The flames were showing through the roof when crews arrived at the scene at 6821 West Willoughby Ave., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said. Fire was first reported at 6:30 a.m.

By 6:43 a.m., the flames were out and "contained to unit of origin and prevented from extending into the attic space," Stewart said.

No one was injured in the blaze, Stewart added.
