Fire At The Magic Castle, Dozens Of Firefighters Battle Blaze

No injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

LOS ANGELES — There was a fire Tuesday evening at the iconic Magic Castle in the Hollywood Hills.

Firefighters responded to a blaze in the attic around 5:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of West Franklin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was knocked down in about 40 minutes with nearly 70 firefighters at the scene, according to the fire department, which noted work on the roof of the three-story Victorian home was a possible cause of the blaze.

No injuries were reported, according to the department.

The Magic Castle is a private clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts. It was also damaged by a fire on Halloween of 2011, according to the Associated Press.
