Fire Ravages Under-Construction Home In Hollywood
It took 69 firefighters over an hour to knock down the blaze that broke out west of Fairfax Avenue, the LAFD said.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — It took 69 firefighters over an hour to extinguish a fire that broke out at a vacant, under-construction two-story home in Hollywood Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the fire at 1547 N. Sierra Bonita Ave., between Santa Monica and Sunset boulevards just west of Fairfax Avenue, at around 4:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters encountered heavy flames and were able to prevent the fire from damaging nearby homes.

A bulldozer and excavator were brought in to move a large amount of smoldering debris, firefighters said.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
