Fire Scorches Johnny Mathis' Hollywood Hills Estate

It took 41 firefighters a half hour to oust a blaze at the Hollywood Hills estate of the Singer Johnny Mathis Monday evening.


An outside fire spread into a Hollywood Hills home owned by the estate of singer Johnny Mathis today, but no one was injured.

The fire was reported at 5:34 p.m. at a large one-story house at 1469 Stebbins Terrace, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Forty-one firefighters took 30 minutes to knock down the fire, Humphrey said.

The house is owned by the estate of Johnny Mathis, according to city- data.com.
