Fire Tears Through Hollywood Theater For The Second Time
The Los Angeles Fire Department quickly put out a theater fire in Hollywood Wednesday.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — The Los Angeles Fire Department quickly put out a two-story theater fire in Hollywood at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to public information officer Margaret Stewart.
The theater is located at 1400 N Las Palmas Ave. and was the site of a previous fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in 19 minutes with no reported injuries.
The fire was on the east side of the building and threatened other nearby buildings, but no surrounding buildings were damaged.

The 117-year-old vacant theater previously burned on July 13, and LAFD's Arson/Counter Terrorism Section detained one person in coordination with the LAPD.
Due to significant damage from the previous fire, the Department of Building and Safety red tagged the address, according to LAFD spokesperson Nicholas Prange.
