Flames Engulf Hollywood Hills 3-Story Home

Firefighters worked to extinguish a fire that tore through the roof of a home in Hollywood Hills Friday morning.

HOLLYWOOD, CA —A fire damaged a three-story hillside house in the Hollywood Hills Friday, but no one was hurt.

The fire was reported about 10:35 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Hollyridge Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"Narrow streets and steep grades presented challenges with getting apparatus and equipment to the address," said Nicholas Prange of the LAFD.

Firefighters extinguished the flames in about an hour and 15 minutes, and prevented the fire from spreading to other structures in the area.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
