LOS ANGELES, CA — The Golden Globes returned to the world stage Tuesday night, dazzling audiences with an unforgettable evening of excitement as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) celebrated the 80th anniversary of their signature awards show hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael.

Anticipation ran high at the event, as it marked the show’s return to television after a scandal-plagued couple of years. The telecast of last year’s awards show was canceled amid mounting criticism surrounding HFPA’s ethical lapses and lack of diversity.

The stars were also back on the red carpet this year, wowing fans with chic and eclectic fashion styles as well as sartorial elegance.

Among the big winners of the evening: “The Banshees of Inisherin” took home the award for best picture, musical or comedy. “The Fabelmans” won the Golden Globe for best motion picture, drama.

In the television categories, “House of the Dragon” won the Golden Globe for best drama television series, and "Abbott Elementary" scored a win for best television series, musical or comedy.
