Highland Avenue Fire Threatens Commercial Buildings In Hollywood
No one was injured in the fire, and the cause remains under investigation.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters knocked down a commercial fire that threatened an adjacent business in Hollywood Monday morning.
The blaze broke out at a one-story business in the 1300 block of North Highland Avenue just after 9:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The building was attached to a two-story business, and as the blaze spread to the attic, it threatened the neighboring business, according to the fire department.
"A primary and secondary search located no occupants in either building," a fire department spokesperson said in a written statement. "Firefighters are making good progress with the interior fire extinguished."

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Investigators are also working to determine the extent of the damage.
