Hollywood Hills Awakened By Series Of Fires
Authorities are investigating a series of early morning fires in Hollywood Hills.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two homes were damaged by fire Friday in the Hollywood Hills area, but no one was injured, authorities said.
Shortly after 4 a.m., a fire damaged a one-story home at 3332 N. Bennett Drive, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The blaze was knocked down in 16 minutes by 31 firefighters, Bastman said.
About 5:45 a.m., several small fires were reported at a three-story home under construction in the 9100 block of West Thrasher Avenue. The fires were extinguished in 26 minutes, according to the LAFD.

Investigators were seeking the cause of both fires. There was no indication that they were connected with one another, said Brian Humphrey of the LAFD.
