Hollywood House Fire Investigated As Possible Arson
Three dozen firefighters were called to battle a blaze at a home near Sunset Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A fire damaged a vacant home near Sunset Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, triggering an arson investigation.
Nobody was hurt in the blaze that broke out in the 1400 block of North Sycamore Avenue near Sunset Boulevard at about 1:40 p.m., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. About three dozen firefighters were called to battle the blaze along with the LAFD's Arson Section, an investigator unit.
The fire was contained to one room and was extinguished by 2 p.m., Stewart said.
