Hope for Paws: Making a Difference in the Lives of Homeless Animals

Animal safety and awareness are at the forefront of the Hope for Paws mission, and why founder Eldad Hager spends all his time on the streets saving the lives of homeless dogs and cats, and educating the public about companion animals.

Hope for Paws has saved hundreds of neglected animals, including Houdini, a rat terrier Chihuahua mix who was living at The Port of San Pedro for approximately two years. The little escape artist didn’t trust anyone, and as a result was not easy to catch.

The Port’s security guards reached out to Hope for Paws, who after several attempts, brought the little four-legged guy to safety.

Hope for Paws is a 501 C-3 non-profit animal rescue organization working to save animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters.
