Injured Hiker Trapped In Hollywood Hills

Los Angeles Firefighters rescued a young woman stuck at the bottom of a steep slope.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — Los Angeles firefighters and paramedics hoisted an injured hiker stuck down a steep hillside in the Hollywood Hills to safety Tuesday.

A 21-year-old woman was trapped about 100 to 150 feet down a hillside in the area of the 3600 block of North Mount Lee Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The call for help came in at about 9:35 a.m., and crews used a helicopter to lower a paramedic to the injured woman, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
