The harmonious hums invigorating your ears are not invading android armies but rather the musical improv machinations of ROBOT TEAMMATE + THE ACCIDENTAL PARTY. This merry squad of improvisers create a spontaneous soiree by asking their audience for a suggestion of a “title of a musical that does not yet exist.” Every magical and often hilarious moment thereafter is imagined right before your very eyes: the music, melody, lyrics, choreography, a multi-act story structure, and more. Their accessible and energetic performances spawn from their diverse DNA, comprised of musicians, sci-fi writers, animators, artists, and Iron Man triathletes with a whole host of tricks up their circuitboards. The ’Bots continue to explore new frontiers with their nuclear take on the “soundbomb”, an explosive tribal ritual of harmony, sound, and freestyle rapping. So, strap on your moon boots, head down to Hollywood and join this positronic powerhouse for an accidental party that is out of this world!
iO West Theater is accessible by LA Metro's Red Line, and has shows on three stages all night, every night -- come early, stay late! Must be 21 or over to see any Main Stage show. Drink specials daily. All-ages shows on the other two stages, Loft and DCT. Most tickets will get you in for the whole night of shows -- ask the Box Office to see if your ticket purchase qualifies.
