LAPD Refers Harvey Weinstein Sexual Assault Allegations To DA
The Los Angeles District Attorney is reportedly reviewing three sex crime cases against Harvey Weinstein.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein could soon face criminal charges for as many as three cases of sexual assault or lewd behavior.
The Los Angeles Police Department referred three allegations of sexual misconduct against Weinstein to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office on Feb. 1. The district attorney will examine the cases and their statute of limitations before deciding whether to file.
"Three cases have been presented to our office by the Los Angeles Police Department regarding Mr. Weinstein and are under review," confirmed Los Angeles County District Attorney spokesman Greg Risling.

Neither the LAPD nor the district attorney's office would elaborate on the specifics of the allegations. However, the LAPD has previously acknowledged its investigation into a rape allegation made by an Italian model/actress against Harvey Weinstein in October. The cases stems from a 2013 allegation — well within the statute of limitations for rape.
Weinstein hasn't publicly commented on the allegations, but his spokesperson denied all allegations of nonconsensual sex.

"The Los Angeles Police Department robbery and homicide division has interviewed a potential sexual assault victim of Harvey Weinstein, which allegedly occurred in 2013," said LAPD spokesman Officer Drake Madison back in October. "The case is under investigation."
In October, the Los Angeles Times interviewed a 38-year-old model who said Weinstein bullied his way into her hotel room at the Mr. C Beverly Hills hotel after she attended the eighth annual Los Angeles, Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest.
“He ... bullied his way into my hotel room, saying, ‘I’m not going to [have sex with] you, I just want to talk,’” she told the Times. ”Once inside, he asked me questions about myself but soon became very aggressive and demanding and kept asking to see me naked. He grabbed me by the hair and forced me to do something I did not want to do. He then dragged me to the bathroom and forcibly raped me.
