LAPD On Tactical Alert Due To Dispatch Outage
BREAKING: A power outage at one of two LAPD dispatch centers prompted a tactical-alert, meaning all officers stay on duty until its over.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A power outage at one of the Los Angeles Police Department's two dispatch centers Friday prompted a city-wide tactical alert.
The outage was reported about 11:20 a.m. at the LAPD's downtown dispatch center, according to a department spokesman.
Officer Sal Ramirez said all operations were shifted to the department's other dispatch center in the San Fernando Valley and there had been no disruption in the processing of calls.

The tactical alert means the shifts of all officers currently on duty will be extended until the situation is rectified or deemed under control.
