Long Beach Driver Convicted of Murder in DUI Incident

In Long Beach, a man has been convicted of murder in connection with his DUI.

DUI can bring with it a host of other charges depending on what happened in the incident. These charges can include some of the worst crimes possible. In Long Beach, a man has been convicted of murder in connection with his DUI.

In 2015, the convicted driver got into a wrong-way crash on the Gerald Desmond Bridge in Long Beach. The other car caught fire, but the force of the impact was so great the driver was killed before the fire started. Another driver injured. The convicted man had to drive through a barricade to get onto the bridge.

He was convicted of second-degree murder along with the rest of his charges, which included DUI. This wasn’t the first time that he had been convicted of DUI either. His BAC at the time of this crash was 0.20.

He was warned after his previous DUI by his probation officer that if he killed someone while DUI, he could be convicted of murder. That has now come to pass. He is facing 15 years to life.
