Like A Love Letter To Trekkies: ‘Star Trek' Forever Stamps Unveiled In Hollywood!
"With the chaos in today's world, hopefully the stamps and what they signify can inspire a better future for us all," said Walter Koenig.
HOLLYWOOD, CA –- Marking the 50th anniversary of "Star Trek," the U.S. Postal Service dedicated four stamps in Hollywood Friday paying homage to the television show that began in 1966 and has spawned a series of films and multiple television reboots.
The stamps, which were officially introduced in New York last week, are "Forever" stamps, meaning they will be valid for a first-class mailing at any time after purchase, regardless of a change in the cost of a stamp.
The "Star Trek" stamps, which were unveiled at the Hollywood Post Office, include four images from the classic series:

Since the original 1960s television series starring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, the show has led to more than a dozen feature films and five other television series.
“With the chaos in today’s world, hopefully the stamps and what they signify can inspire a better future for us all,” said Walter Koenig, who portrayed U.S.S. Enterprise’s navigation officer Pavel Chekov in the series.
