Major Lane, Ramp Closures Planned For 101 Freeway This Week

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Major overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled along the 101 Freeway in Hollywood this week for bridge rehabilitation work, according to Caltrans.

The work will take place between Gower Street and Vine Street, with traffic reduced to one lane in each direction at times. Many major on- and off-ramps will be closed throughout Hollywood.

Here's a look at the closure schedule:

Monday, May 11 through Friday night, May 15

Northbound 101

• Up to three lanes will be closed on northbound 101 from Gower Street to Vine Street starting as early as 11 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Hollywood Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Argyle Avenue on-ramp to the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Gower Street off-ramp from the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Cahuenga Boulevard off-ramp from the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 6 a.m.

Southbound 101

• Up to three lanes will be closed on the southbound 101 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 10 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Cahuenga Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Vine Street on-ramp to the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Gower Street off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Hollywood Boulevard off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Vine Street off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 10 p.m. and until 6 a.m.

Friday night, May 15 through Saturday morning, May 16

Northbound 101

• Up to three lanes will be closed on the northbound 101 from Gower Street to Vine Street starting as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Hollywood Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Argyle Avenue on-ramp to the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Gower Street off-ramp from the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Cahuenga Boulevard off-ramp from the northbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.

Southbound 101

• Up to three lanes will be closed on the southbound 101 from Vine Street to Gower Street starting as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Cahuenga Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• The Vine Street on-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Gower Street off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 7 p.m. and until 6 a.m.
• The Hollywood Boulevard off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.
• Vine Street off-ramp from the southbound 101 will be closed as early as 11 p.m. and until 7 a.m.

The closures coincide with a weekend-long closure of lanes and ramps on the 405 Freeway, which will include closures during daytime hours. The closures will impact several connecting ramps between the 405 and 101 in the San Fernando Valley.
