Man Holds Woman Hostage In Hollywood Standoff

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police surrounded the Hollywood home of a man holding his wife hostage Monday night.

The woman called 911 to report that her husband had attacker her at about 8:40 p.m. Monday, and officers quickly arrived at the home in the 800 block of Ridgeway Place, north of Melrose Avenue and just east of Paramount Studios. They ordered the woman to come outside, but once she did, the husband pulled her back inside the residence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The pair remained barricaded inside for hours as police surrounded the home, attempting to bring a peaceful end to the situation.

No injuries have been reported.
