Manhunt For Robbery Suspects In Hollywood

Five suspects wanted for robbery led police up and down several freeways before fleeing on foot in East Hollywood, hopping fences to escape.

PASADENA, CA — Five suspects wanted for a robbery in Old Town Pasadena led police on a high-speed chase on freeways and surface streets this afternoon before the suspects abandoned the Kia Soul they were in and fled into an East Hollywood neighborhood.

The robbery occurred about 4:20 p.m., according to the Pasadena Police Department.

The suspects sped along the Foothill (210), Ventura (134) and Hollywood (170/101) freeways before pulling onto an off-ramp in East Hollywood about 5 p.m. and fleeing on foot in the area of Melrose Avenue and Kingsley Drive.

The suspects could be seen fleeing through backyards, jumping fences and climbing onto roofs before disappearing from view under a carport or awning as night fell.

Police established a perimeter and brought in a K-9 unit to search for the suspects.

At least one suspect was taken into custody about 5:30 p.m., according to a report from the scene.
