Nude Man Arrested After Dancing On Patrol SUV In Hollywood

A man was arrested after dancing and taunting police officers in the nude atop a patrol car in Hollywood, video footage showed.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A naked man was arrested after he was seen dancing atop a patrol car and taunting officers, authorities said and footage showed Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched around 7:10 a.m. to assist fellow officers in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue who were responding to a disturbing the peace call.

Benny Martinez, 38, eventually climbed down and was arrested after officers stood back and attempted to use de-escalation techniques, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

In video footage posted by TMX, Martinez can be seen jumping up and down and dancing on the SUV.

Once placed in the back of the patrol car, Martinez reportedly began kicking at one of the side rear windows, so officers rolled the window down to "prevent damage." As the window was being rolled down, Martinez reported kicked it and shattered the glass.

He was taken to the department's Hollywood station and cited for misdemeanor vandalism. He was later released.
