Petition Allowing Guns at Republican Convention Has 25K Signatures: According to the Akron Beacon-Journal, so far over 25,000 people have signed a petition calling for the open carry of guns at the Republican National Convention, which is slated to take place in Cleveland this July.

Wow, this should make for the best political convention ever! Let’s see, we’ve got alcohol, political volatility and thousands of angry, crazed, logic-challenged people, all armed to the teeth, packed into an arena - can’t see any potential risks there. Speaking of petitions, could a petition to allow open carry hand grenades be far behind?

Meanwhile, its becoming obvious to professional wrestling’s many fans that this Republican Convention promises to become way better than any wrestling event could ever hope to be. Hell, something like this could potentially put “The Hunger Games” franchise out of business.

And speaking of politics, convention promoters probably ought to run a promotional ad saying “my name is Charles Darwin and I approve this message.” But on a serious note, I do have to give credit where credit’s due. Those Republicans are willing to put their gun barrels where their mouth is. And think how interesting it will become when Republicans begin to outline the “bullet points” of their platform.

Now, the only question that remains is, should this convention end in a big shootout, how will conservatives manage to blame Obama, Hillary, Muslims and Mexicans?
