Rapist Hunted For Victims at Hollywood Clubs, Police Allege
Police believe a San Fernando Valley man accused of multiple rapes may have more victims.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Investigators believe a San Fernando Valley man accused of cruising Hollywood clubs for young women to sexually assault may have additional victims.
Police Tuesday asked possible additional victims of a 22-year-old Omar Talley to come forward. According to detectives, Talley held himself up as a bigshot promoter and influencer in order to earn the trust of his alleged victims. They believe he sexually assaulted a number of women he met at clubs in the Hollywood and West Hollywood areas. Detectives arrested Talley July 11, the same day he allegedly attacked his last victim . Talley faces charges of three counts of rape, two counts of oral copulation and one count of forcible acts of penetration, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
He is being held at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic in lieu of $1.6 million bail.

"Talley claims to be a nightclub promoter and social media influencer," according to an LAPD statement. "He moved from the state of New Jersey to California a few years ago, taking up residency in the Lake Balboa area of the San Fernando Valley."
According to police, Talley frequented nightclubs in the Hollywood and West Hollywood areas, where he would befriend and gain the confidence of women in their early 20s.

"Talley would then order a rideshare service to transport himself and the young women to his residence in the 6600 block of Valjean Avenue, located in the Lake Balboa area, or a nearby `after party' location," the LAPD alleges. "Once at one of these locations, Talley would sexually assault the young women. Several of the women escaped during the attack, as one young woman did on July 11, 2019."
The latest victim called for help and patrol officers from the LAPD's West Valley Station responded. Their investigation determined Talley allegedly forced the woman to perform sexual acts, physically assaulted her and spoke degrading words to her, police said.
"It appears Omar Talley would be charming just before the sexual act, then change his demeanor and force the women to perform sexual acts against their will," LAPD Detective Katherine Gosser alleged.
He pleaded not guilty last week and is due back in a Van Nuys courtroom on Friday, when a date is scheduled to be set for a hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to allow the case against him to proceed to trial.
Anyone with information about Talley was urged to call Gosser at 818- 374-7714.
During non-business hours, calls should be directed to 877-LAPD-24-7. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS or lacrimestoppers.org.
