“With the Royal Household, everyday jobs become exceptional,” they wrote. “Building a career here means both upholding cherished traditions and exploring new ideas to take the Household and our work forward. You’ll be trusted and supported, and proud of the contribution you make.”

Markle and Prince Harry made international headlines when they announced their engagement in November. Like his mother before him, Prince Harry courts fascination and controversy for eschewing traditionalism. In proposing to Markle, who is biracial, American, and a Catholic divorcee, Prince Harry followed his heart and rekindled the world’s fascination with the royals. Markle, an actress who grew up in Hollywood, is best known for her role in the TV drama “Suits.”

So what exactly are the Royals looking for in a trusted communications assistant?

“Joining this fast-paced and dynamic team, you'll assist senior colleagues with both proactive and reactive communications. You'll organise coverage of set-piece Palace engagements including investitures and garden parties, and provide support as required for off-site engagements. You'll also play a role in producing content for a variety of platforms. From press announcements and media briefing notes, to social media updates and feature articles; you'll develop your skills as you take on each new challenge.”

The one-year gig is full-time from April 2018 to April 2019 and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including 33 vacation days, a 15% employer contribution pension and support for continued professional development.
