Storm Brings Slight Chance Of Rain To LA Today

A storm moving in from the north may drop some light rain on the Los Angeles region Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Some rain is expected in the Southland Tuesday, but chances are slight, and any rainfall in Los Angeles County will be minimal, National Weather Service forecasters said.

The expected precipitation will result from a weak storm system out of the northwest that will mostly affect San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, with between four and nine tenths of an inch of rain expected in those areas. The NWS also reported on its website that only between five tenths and a quarter of an inch are expected in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Some low-lying flooding is possible, along with hydroplaning on freeways, but most of that is expected in San Luis Obispo County, according to the NWS.
