Suspected Homicide: Hollywood Man Found In Desert Center

HOLLYWOOD, CA — An investigation continues this week into the suspicious death of a Hollywood man found in Desert Center.

On Monday, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department identified the deceased as Thanh Phuoc Tran, 46. His body was found around 4 p.m. Oct. 18 in an agricultural area near Oasis and Kaiser roads, inside a structure, according to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Rick Espinoza.

Sheriff's officials called the death suspicious, and investigators with the Central Homicide Unit took over the investigation.

"This is an active investigation and no additional details are currently available," the sheriff's department reported Monday.

No arrests have been publicly announced.
