Thousands Rally Downtown For Trump's Impeachment
Anti-Trump and pro-Trump supporters clashed at what was otherwise a peaceful rally in Downtown LA calling for the president's impeachment.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A crowd estimated at containing a few thousand people rallied Sunday in downtown Los Angeles to call for the impeachment of President Donald Trump, one of a series of similar events held nationwide.
The Los Angeles Impeachment March began at noon at Pershing Square before continuing to Fletcher Bowron Park, according to Los Angeles police.
A group of pro-Trump demonstrators also were on hand, gathering first at LAPD headquarters to voice support for the president.

Many of the pro-Trump people held American flags, wore Trump-Pence T- shirts and waved signs that read, "Make America Great Again" and "Trump is our President."
Ingrid Mueller, a spokeswoman for "Make California Great Again" told ABC7 that she and other Trump backers "like him and love him because he's for law and order."

The LAPD did not report any arrests or trouble, but the event was thought to be largely if not completely peaceful, with nothing worse than some heated arguments between groups of protesters on the streets or those reported on social media.
Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Sherman Oaks, touted his proposed Article of Impeachment against Trump.
"Every day, Democrats, Republicans, the entire world is shocked by the latest example of America's amateur president," Sherman said.
Organizers believe Trump has "been in blatant violation of the Constitution from the day he was sworn into the office of President," according to the group's website at www.impeachmentmarch.org. They accuse Trump of making presidential decisions that benefit his business interests, among other alleged abuses.
As the rallies broke up, groups of pro and anti-Trump protesters, separated by a heavy LAPD presence, began taunting each other from their respective sides as they walked on streets near Fletcher Bowron Park.
Several pickup trucks carrying large American flags drove back and forth alongside the Trump marchers, beeping their horns in support of the pro-Trump congregants.
An Impeachment March also happened Sunday in Orange County at Santa Ana's Sasscer Park.
