A threat made against the actors union prompted SAG-AFTRA to close its offices in Los Angeles and New York on Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The SAG-AFTRA actors union offices in Los Angeles and New York both were evacuated Tuesday after a threat was telephoned into the union. The Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad sweeped the building but found no explosive devices.
The threat was of an unknown nature, and the actors union offices in both cities were evacuated as a precaution, according to a spokeswoman for the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. No injuries were reported in the incident, which remains under investigation.
"I can confirm that we have received a threat," Pamela Greenwalt told Deadline. "We are taking it seriously. We have evacuated our Los Angeles and New York offices. We have notified law enforcement. They are on scene and investigating. We have no further information at this time."
