Tot Squad Founder Fuels Company Growth with IFA's NextGen Program
NextGen Global Competition Announces 2017 Call for Entries

Los Angeles local, Jennifer Beall Saxton, is the Founder and CEO of Tot Squad, a mobile baby gear service that comes to the rescue of busy parents by providing the cleaning, repair and installation of strollers and car seats at different retail locations daily or at customer's homes. With a team of certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, Tot Squad is committed to the safety, health and well being of children. The company currently operates in Southern California, New York, Washington, D.C. and is expanding nationwide to come to the rescue of busy parents everywhere.
Saxton developed her business plan for Tot Squad while she was getting her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management. The company was in business for three years before she learned about the International Franchise Association's (IFA) NextGen Global Competition -- a worldwide program that engages young entrepreneurs seeking careers and business opportunities in the franchising industry.
After submitting her business plan and FDD, she was named a finalist and took home second place in the program's 2015 Global Competition. Shortly after winning, she received hundreds of franchise inquiries and established retail partnerships with Babies"R"Us, Nordstrom, Buy Buy BABY, and Whole Foods, which led to Tot Squad being a featured business in Nissan's 2015 advertorial campaign, as well as a featured concept on CBS' The Doctors.

Today, Saxton's company offers services in California and New York, and she recently sold her first franchise in Washington D.C. She also tripled her revenue over the past two years and is about to close on $1 million in funding to continue fueling her company's growth. She attributes most of Tot Squad's success to the recognition she received after winning NextGen's 2015 Global Competition and the relationships she established through the program.
The IFA recently announced its 2017 call for entries. Entrepreneurs interested in mirroring Saxton's success can apply here: http://nextgenfranchising.org/contest/.
