Troy Hill Calls his DUI Arrest a "Blessing"

Can something good come out of a DUI arrest? It can if it makes people stop doing it in the future. That’s what Los Angeles Rams CB Troy Hill is trying to do after his DUI arrest. He’s called the experience a “blessing.”

On November 19th, Hill was arrested for DUI when his car swerved across lanes and crashed into the back of a commercial truck. A sobriety test lead to his arrest, putting his NFL career in jeopardy. He was demoted to the practice squad just after having an excellent game against the Jets. He’s lucky not to have been kicked out of the league entirely.

But he’s hoping to make up for it. He is teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to raise awareness of DUI and its dangers. His court date is on the 14th where he faces four misdemeanor charges. Hill has intimated that there were other reasons why he got intoxicated that day, but he has declined to talk about them until after the court date. In the meantime, he is trying to get his life back in order and his career back on track.
