[UPDATED] Urban Masala Sets Opening Date

The owners of Urban Masala are nearly ready to open Hollywood's newest Indian restaurant, aiming for a grand opening on Dec. 30.

[Editor's Note: Patch originally reported a soft opening was set for Wednesday and an official opening on Saturday; however, a rep for the restaurant says the official opening date is postponed to Dec. 30.]

The owners have been working on decorative and cosmetic touches at the restaurant in preparation for the big day, said co-owner Arun Chhatpar. They are sure their restaurant will stand out from the competition.

“Nowhere else can you taste the freshness of our naans and meats grilled right here in our imported tandoors,” Chhatpar said. “We hope that every customer feels as though they have received the most bang for their buck from every bite.” 

“We offer fresh, healthy, home-style Indian food in a modern American ambience at reasonable prices with great service,” he said.

is located at 6554 Hollywood Blvd. The restaurant will be open  Sundays through Wednesdays from 11 a.m.- 11 p.m., Thursday - Saturday 11 a.m. until 3 a.m.
