Water Line Break Threatens Hollywood Hills Homes
Firefighters quickly contained the damage in Hollywood Hills where an underground water line broke, threatening hillside homes.
HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA --Crews today repaired a water main that ruptured and flooded a section of the Cahuenga Pass with thousands of gallons water.
Firefighters were dispatched about noon Sunday to the 3300 block of Oak Glen Drive. The 8-inch pipe was 58 years old, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Poser.
Several businesses on nearby Cahuenga Boulevard and one residential garage on Oak Glen Drive were affected by the flooding, and traffic was routed away from the area while crews worked to handle the problem, which was fixed by 7:30 this morning, the LADWP reported.

No injuries were reported, and no formal evacuation was issued, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
