Water Main Break Buckles Hollywood Roadway

LOS ANGELES, CA — A break in a 12-inch water main in Hollywood Monday interrupted service to about 20 customers, authorities said.

The problem was reported about 1 a.m. in the 800 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Crews worked to repair the cast-iron main, along with a section of the roadway that buckled near a curb, the LADWP reported. Traffic was not affected by the rupture.
