Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold In Los Angeles
The winning Mega Millions ticket has five of six winning numbers and is worth $524,457.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Some lucky lottery player in Los Angeles is holding a Mega Millions ticket worth $524,457, the California Lottery announced.
The ticket has five of the winning numbers but is missing the Mega number in Friday's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery. The lucky ticket was sold at a gasoline station in East Hollywood and is one of two Mega Millions tickets to get five winning numbers. The other was sold in n Michigan and is worth $1 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.
The numbers drawn Friday were 4, 11, 13, 19, 31 and the Mega number was 10. The estimated jackpot was $139 million. There were no tickets sold with all six numbers. As a result, the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow to an estimated $154 million. The drawing was the 13th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The winner will be paid on a pari-mutuel basis by state law. That means the payoff is determined by the size of the pool instead of a fixed amount
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.

The Mega Millions game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
