Young Children Found At Scene Of Hollywood Double Homicide
A man and a woman were shot to death in Hollywood overnight, and officers found two young children believed to be the woman's nearby.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two young children were found inside a car where a man and a woman were shot to death in Hollywood Thursday night, authorities said Friday.
The slain woman is believed to be the children's mother, NBC Los Angeles reported. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday at Vista Del Mar and Carlos avenues south of the Hollywood (101) Freeway.

"Hollywood patrol officers responded to numerous calls of shooting," said Officer Annie Hernandez. "When the officers arrived they located two victims."
Officers found a man and woman lying in the street each suffering multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Both victims, who were in their early 20s, were pronounced dead by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at the scene., said Hernandez.
Television footage showed several shell casings in the area of the shooting.
Officers found the children in a vehicle nearby. They were uninjured.
The suspect is described 6-feet-tall with a slender build and was wearing a white t-shirt. He was last seen running northbound on Vista del Mar.
Homicide investigators remained at the scene overnight collecting evidence and searching for additional witnesses.
