Three Adults Arrested in Huntington Beach Pocket Bike Riding (patch.com) — Police arrested three adults in Huntington Beach after a large group of juveniles rode pocket bikes recklessly near Edinger Avenue and Bolsa Chica Street this weekend. Several juveniles were detained or cited, multiple bikes were impounded, and two parents were arrested for allegedly encouraging or allowing dangerous riding that could have seriously injured their children.

Huntington Beach Surf City Artisan Street Fair Monday September 7 2026 (southocbeaches.com) — Huntington Beach's Surf City Artisan Street Fair is back at the pier, offering family-friendly art, live music, and artisanal food starting today and running on multiple dates through December. 3. Five teams still unbeaten (orangecountytribune.com) — Huntington Beach High's football team puts its 3-0 record on the line Thursday in a road game at Redondo Union, while the school's new girls' flag football squad is off to a strong 7-2 start. The girls will face undefeated San Marcos on Friday after a thrilling triple-overtime win over Edison, giving local fans two big matchups to watch this week.
   

4. Oro, a trauma support dog for first responders, is the future of addressing mental health needs, officials say (yoursun.com) — First responders in our area, including Huntington Beach firefighters, are turning to specially trained trauma support dogs like Kingman and Oro to ease the emotional toll of difficult calls. These Critical Incident Stress K-9s help lower anxiety, open up conversations in debriefs, and are part of a growing, statewide effort to normalize mental health support in fire and police departments.
