Advisory: Sewage Spill In Yogurt Canyon Of Border Field State Park

As of about 4 p.m. Tuesday, sewage was flowing at approximately 90 gallons per minute, according to officials from the county.

SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health has issued an advisory warning of an ongoing sewage spill in the Yogurt Canyon area of Border Field State Park.

As of about 4 p.m. Tuesday, sewage was flowing at approximately 90 gallons per minute, according to county officials.

Signs urging visitors to avoid contact with contaminated water have been posted near the spill location. Officials also advised residents that the access road to Friendship Park, within the Border Field State Park, may also be affected with sewage-impacted runoff and should be avoided.
